20.01.25 • SEW-EURODRIVE Oy's investment projects at the SEW Hollola premises have been completed.
The approximately one million euro investment in the Hollola Service Center and Drive Technology Plant supports our company's growth objectives, the development of the service business, and lays the foundation for new jobs. Thanks to the investments, the capacity of our service center will almost double, and the turnaround time for gear units maintenance will significantly speed up.
The Drive Technology Center and Service Centers in Hollola and Tornio add significant value to the development of our business. Our 24/7 Service Hotline provides unique value to our customers. Thanks to our express delivery service, customers can receive a new drive unit within a few hours.
PS. Our Service Centers employ 36 experts, and the Drive Technology Center employs 20 experts.
We expanded the existing service center facilities by constructing additional space for incoming goods reception, storage, and dispatch area. At the same time, we introduced a new washing area for incoming gear units.
In connection with the investment, we also updated the layout of our Service Center and added five new workstations where we service large and medium-sized gear units.
Our new washing machine enables high-quality washing results, efficiently removing impurities from the gear units being serviced.
The appropriate grinding area reduces occupational risks associated with metal grinding. To ensure safe working conditions for our employees, we also invested in a new cleaning station.
For cleaning small parts and components, our Service Center is equipped with an energy-efficient ultrasonic cleaning machine. Particles and soluble impurities are cleaned from components using a water-based process.
New Traffic Arrangements at Hollola Service Center
In connection with the investment, we also renewed the traffic arrangements at the Service Center. New driving and walking routes, as well as clearly marked parking areas, increase safety in our yard area.
We increased the capacity of our Drive Technology Center by adding more workstations and optimizing the placement of components. Additionally, we enhanced internal logistics with a new AGV station. We are investing in various measures to improve workflow and occupational safety.
Our new painting system is designed for surface treatments in demanding conditions. Our range includes SEW standard, OS1, and OS2 surface treatments.
We expanded our assembly program and increased the share of locally assembled SEW drive units. This enables even faster deliveries to our customers. The picture shows a new workstation for the energy-efficient Spiroplan® right-angle gearmotors of the W..9 series.
