When I began my role as Managing Director of SEW‑EURODRIVE Oy in 2022, we set out deliberately to strengthen the factors that have made us a reliable partner for our customers: the competence of our personnel, long-term customer relationships, and strong local presence. The Assembly Plant in Hollola, the Service Centers in Hollola and Tornio, and six Regional Offices form a unique whole on which we build our growth.
Growth requires a shared direction. That is why, together with supervisors, the management team and employee representatives, we created our Leadership Playbook, which articulates what good leadership means to us. The playbook is built on trust, open dialogue and continuous development. It is safe for us to disagree, and feedback is both given and received – in this way, “growth is an opportunity” does not remain just a sentence on paper.
Our values guide our operations – integrity, respect, responsibility, commitment and sharing. They are not just words on a wall, but describe how we work together, how we encounter one another and how we build our corporate culture.
Enabling growth also requires continuous investments. For example, in 2024 we made investments of approximately one million euros in the Hollola Service Center and Assembly Plant. As a result of these investments, the capacity of our Service Center nearly doubled, lead times for gear unit services were shortened, and we increased the share of locally assembled SEW drive solutions in our sales.
Growth is created by people
Being part of the SEW family is our superpower and the enabler of growth. Together, we deliver on our promise of the best customer service and delivery performance in the market. We want to make successes visible, which is why we launched a new SEW family channel where everyone can share observations from everyday actions – from small moments of care to major breakthroughs. When experiences and examples are shared, good practices multiply and our culture is strengthened.
A culture of community, openness and working together is evident in our daily operations. Our employee survey eNPS score was 33, which is clearly above the company average (13) and an improvement compared to the previous measurement.
Growth opportunities are created through dialogue and collaboration. The Leadership Playbook gives us a shared language, and being part of the SEW family provides a shared direction. Investments ensure that we can deliver on our promise to customers every day.
Ultimately, it comes down to something very simple: in Service Centers, at the Assembly Plant and in our other functions, teams solve challenges together in a way that captures the essence of growth. Growth enables learning, investments and the continuous development of our operations – and above all, it strengthens our ability to serve our customers even better.
