12.02.26 • We promote sustainable development across our operations. Our sustainability efforts focus on the impacts of our own activities and the needs of our stakeholders – above all our employees, but also our customers, business partners and the environment.
We believe that a sustainable future can only be built together. That’s why we invest in open, trustworthy and long-term collaboration with our stakeholders.
Our latest sustainability report highlights how sustainability is reflected in our everyday actions. Our initiatives range from energy efficiency and circular economy to student collaboration, as well as the continuous development of employee wellbeing and safety.
We work closely with our customers to offer innovative and energy‑efficient solutions that help them reduce energy consumption, save materials and decrease environmental impact.
We also require our suppliers to operate in line with our values and our Code of Conduct.
SEW family is our superpower
Community, openness and a culture of working together are part of our daily life. Our employee survey’s eNPS score was 33, clearly above the corporate average (13) and an improvement from the previous survey. eNPS measures employee engagement and their willingness to recommend the workplace to others.
We invest consistently in energy efficiency
We have renewed our energy efficiency agreement with the Confederation of Finnish Industries. Energy efficiency is part of our everyday operations and forms the basis of our responsible and sustainable practices, supporting the reduction of our own climate impact.
We also participate in the Climate Community of the Finland Chamber of Commerce, a collaboration forum designed for SMEs.
We utilize renewable energy
Our Service Center uses solar energy, and in 2025 we invested in a solar power plant at our assembly plant.
The energy consumption of our Hollola facilities has decreased for four consecutive years, and the CO₂ emissions from electricity and heating have been zero for the third year in a row.
Circular economy is part of our daily processes
We reuse approximately 80% of the cardboard boxes and packing materials that arrive to us.
We actively collaborate with students
We offer internship and thesis opportunities, and for example, students from LAB University of Applied Sciences at the Lahti campus analyzed our sustainability report as part of their studies.
“Responsible operations are not a separate project for us, but an essential part of daily work and decision-making. We aim to be a safe and valued employer, as well as a reliable partner for our customers – now and in the future. Our sustainability work is based on concrete actions, measurable results and continuous development together with our stakeholders.”
